MY NEW LIFE

  Here are pics from our second week in Spain. One night we went out for dinner and watched the Flamenco dancers entertaining. Most mornings we walk after breakfast and go for our second cup of coffee.  Saturday morning was at Punta Prima. Sunday we walked from Cabo Roig where we had coffee on the beach to La Zenia where we stopped for lunch before walking back - note the difference in the amount of sunbathers from early morning to later in the day! Tuesday we went for a fabulous walk in the Parque au Naturel near La Mata.  They are trying to bring natural vegetation back to various places and this was a lovely quiet nature reserve with lots of birds heard on the Merlin Bird ID app. Wednesday morning’s walk along the front at La Mata plus another stray but someone had put beds out for them.  We flew Ryan Air from Stansted to Alicante Prawn and pineapple starter at dinner the first night! Our apartment in a neighbourhood between Torrevieja and La Mata and the view from the roof terrace  Torre La Mata (our closest beach) Lovely Japanese food - I so miss the Bento boxes and Dynamite and California rolls that don’t seem to exist very close to where I live! Trip out to Lo Pagan, the mud baths and the Mar Menor Salt lakes are a big feature in this area with salt exported all over.
