MY BEAUTIFUL NEW HOME

Welcome to my new blog and my new home!  I feel very fortunate to be able to own this mid-terrace cottage built in the late 1700s.  I’ve had to do nothing to it as it was newly carpeted and painted before I bought it.  I’m fortunate that friends are helping me with the garden, about which I know nothing!
The view out the front.  However, much as I love church bells, I don’t appreciate them every 15 minutes all through the night too but I guess I’ll get used to them!

My garden which is fortunately not too big but it is a real sun trap and I’ve been able to sit out in the afternoons and evenings lately and enjoy listening to the birds!

My lovely sitting room with small log burner.  Lots of Roy Henry Vickers art around the walls.

My dining room which is accessed from the front door and leads into the sitting room and the kitchen.

My kitchen leading into the utility room.

Very old steep and narrow stairs leading up to an open area where I do my Reiki and read sometimes.

My bedroom which also overlooks the church.

My second bedroom/dressing room (which will have a chair that folds out into a single bed)

My ‘party size’ bathroom!

I might have had to wait five months from making the offer on it before I moved in but I am so settled, it’s lovely!

It’s a four minute walk to my friend Linda’s house, a 10-minute uphill walk to Slimming World, a lovely food pub, small grocery shop, lovely fish’n chip shop.  I can walk two minutes to a bus stop to take the bus to Lincoln (which I’ve already done twice!) or to Scunthorpe if I need to take it to the Eye Clinic or the railway station.
