MY NEW LIFE

I spent a couple of days with Pauline in Sheffield the other week and we had a lovely walk through one of the parks.   These are photos from one of my new local walks in Kirton. One of my neighbour’s chickens keeps visiting my garden and I keep having to send her back as I don’t want her scratching in the flower beds that Linda D has helped me with! My friend Linda D’s lovely cottage and wildflower garden. My friends Lynn and Linda B visiting one day. I think this cat must know I’m missing mine as he/she came for some affection one evening I was sitting with a G&T in the garden! Welcome to my new blog and my new home!  I feel very fortunate to be able to own this mid-terrace cottage built in the late 1700s.  I’ve had to do nothing to it as it was newly carpeted and painted before I bought it.  I’m fortunate that friends are helping me with the garden, about which I know nothing! The view out the front.  However, much as I love church bells, I don’t appreciate them every 15 minutes all through the night too but I guess I’ll get used to them!   My garden which is fortunately not too big but it is a real sun trap and I’ve been able to sit out in the afternoons and evenings lately and enjoy listening to the birds!
