MY FIRST MONTH IN KIRTON LINDSEY

I spent a couple of days with Pauline in Sheffield the other week and we had a lovely walk through one of the parks.   These are photos from one of my new local walks in Kirton. One of my neighbour’s chickens keeps visiting my garden and I keep having to send her back as I don’t want her scratching in the flower beds that Linda D has helped me with! My friend Linda D’s lovely cottage and wildflower garden. My friends Lynn and Linda B visiting one day. I think this cat must know I’m missing mine as he/she came for some affection one evening I was sitting with a G&T in the garden! MY BEAUTIFUL NEW HOME

Welcome to my new blog and my new home!  I feel very fortunate to be able to own this mid-terrace cottage built in the late 1700s.  I’ve had to do nothing to it as it was newly carpeted and painted before I bought it.  I’m fortunate that friends are helping me with the garden, about which I know nothing! The view out the front.  However, much as I love church bells, I don’t appreciate them every 15 minutes all through the night too but I guess I’ll get used to them!   My garden which is fortunately not too big but it is a real sun trap and I’ve been able to sit out in the afternoons and evenings lately and enjoy listening to the birds! My lovely sitting room with small log burner.  Lots of Roy Henry Vickers art around the walls. My dining room which is accessed from the front door and leads into the sitting room and the kitchen.
