DECDMBER 2025

Another year over already - where do the days, weeks and months go?!

I trust that you had a good feastive season and I hope that you have a very healthy and happy 2026.  Thank you for continuing to check out my blog, I do enjoy selecting my favourite photos and making memories to share.

Here are a couple of photos taken down the lane where I try and walk often (Canada Geese, as usual, and sheep!).

Two views of the church opposite my cottage- the latter lit up for December.

On December 3 Linda D and I went to lovely Doddington Hall to see the Fairytale Cmas decorations https://www.doddingtonhall.com/christmas/

Linda B, Lynn and I went out to the local farm shop restaurant for a festive lunch one day.

Sunrise one morning from my bedroom window.

A cheeky squirrel in the garden.

On December14 I went over to Pauline’s for a couple of nights.  We went out for a lovely Sunday lunch at the local pub and on the Monday night went to see Richard Hawley who put on a fabulous concert.  He’s from Sheffield and still lives there, he is a prolific songwriter and very popular.  The three concerts were sold out in 20 minutes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Hawley

Ronnie came up on December 18 and we went to another Town Hall Live concert which was good but different!  “The final concert of the year is on SATURDAY 20TH DECEMBER when we welcome back (Damian) WILSON https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damian_Wilson & (Adam) WAKEMAN.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Wakeman - (son of Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman).

We then drove down to Norfolk where we stayed for 10 days.  We had a very blustery walk along the cliffs one day but unfortunately no others as I got a horrible cold which I’m still trying to get over - at least I hadn’t had one since last January so I’ve done very well!  I also was fortunate enough to have been rather pampered while I was there!

We did go to the local pub for an hour on Cmas Day before we cooked turkey.  We met Ronnie’s stepson Steve and his wife Carrie Ann there.  They also came round on Boxing Day with their three boys and one girlfriend for a lovely afternoon.

Again, thanks for checking in and all the very best for this year.
