MARCH 2026

Greetings from a still coolish U.K., although I did manage to sit out in the garden to read one afternoon recently!

The Merlin bird app is amazing - these are all the birds I heard on one of my morning walks.

These were one afternoon out in the garden, not that I actually saw all of them but the app picks them up.

Ronnie was here for a couple of weeks and we drove to Filey one day as he’d never been there.  It seemed a bit strange to be there again but I have memories of seven wonderful years there.  We went for my usual walk down the ravine and along the front before going to the Lighthouse cafe for lunch.

Ronnie and I went to the local Town Hall Live to listen to The Guilty Men who were very good.

We also celebrated Ronnie’s birthday by having a lovely dinner at the local pub.

We went to Lincoln one day to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life which is really interesting.
We also walked into the castle grounds and went to Ole Ole for lunch - an authentic family run Spanish tapas restaurant.

I had my old inefficient log burner taken out the other week, together with a couple of layers of bricks at the bottom.  I had a lovely gas ‘log burner’ put in which is so much more efficient and way less work!

Two different views of the church opposite me.

This past Friday I went to see the Often Herd with friends.  It’s great that this little town has so much going on!

We had quite a wind storm the other night and I woke up to two panels of my neighbour’s fence in my garden!  The other week one of the panels in my fence (right hand side) blew out.

I managed to watch lots of the World Figure Skating championships on YouTube last week which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I also had a private medical screening which said my biometric age is 57 - quite proud of that as I’m 72 in July!
Must be all the walking I do!

Thanks for checking in.  Take care 💜
